Free Web Space Instructions
Making your files available for web users to
see.
-
"Uploading" means
taking a file on your own computer and saving a copy of it to a remote
server.
-
A "web server" is a
computer that is connected to the Internet in a way that allows web users to
access the files that are saved on the server.
-
There are many, many servers
around the world, and every web page that you go to is saved on one of those
servers.
One way to get files uploaded to a server is to
use a software program called a "FTP", which stands for File Transfer Protocol.
There are many different FTP programs that are easy to use and some are also
available for free off the Internet!
