Setting Up Outlook Express Instructions

 

  1. Double click on the Outlook Express / Mail Icon. Once opened, go to the top menu bar and choose Tools

  2. From the Tools menu, select Accounts

  3. Click on the tab that says Mail

  4. Under the Account column, highlight the default mail account name by clicking on it once

  5. Click Properties

  6. In the General tab, the following information should be typed in:

    Name: Your real name (if you want to be identified)
    Organization: This information is optional
    E-mail Address: Type your e-mail address here
     

  7. Click on the Servers tab

  8. Enter the following information:

    Incoming mail: pop3.newulmtel.net
    Outgoing mail: smtp.newulmtel.net
    Account name:
    Enter your full e-mail address
    Password: Enter password in lowercase letters.
        (Password will only show as *****)
     

  9. Put a check mark in the box that says Remember Password

  10. Put a check mark in the box that says My Server Requires Authentication




     

  11. Click Settings

  12. Put a dot in front of Use same settings as my incoming mail server.



     

  13. Click OK

  14. Click Apply

  15. Click OK

  16. Click Close
